Our Learning Groups
Each stage of early childhood is unique. Our groups are designed to support children as they grow, explore, and build confidence at their own pace.
Caterpillar Group
18 month old - 3 year old (Limited space)
For our youngest children, the focus is on feeling comfortable at school, building trust with their educators, and becoming more independent in their daily routines. Their days include sensory activities, movement, practical life, outdoor time, music and plenty of opportunities to communicate and interact with others. Activities are adapted to each child’s stage of development and what they are interested in.
Cocoon Group
4 – 5 year old
As children become more independent, we introduce more group work and focused activities alongside plenty of time for child-led play. Children work on communication, friendships, practical skills, early literacy and numeracy, creative work, and learning to do more for themselves. Our educators continue to follow each child’s interests while making sure they are working towards the developmental milestones for their age.
Butterfly Group
5 - 6 year old
Our oldest group has a stronger focus on preparing children for their next stage of school while keeping learning hands-on and play-based. Children work on early reading and writing, numeracy, problem-solving, longer projects, working together and taking more responsibility for themselves. We look at each child individually and support the areas they are ready to develop, rather than expecting every child to learn in exactly the same way or at exactly the same time.
A Day at Bali Sunny Kids
Our days have a familiar rhythm, with plenty of room to follow the children and what they're interested in.
Children arrive and have time for free play.
Morning walk, gardening, yoga or dance.
Songs, stories and group conversations.
Small-group activities based on the children's age and interests.
Books, puzzles or quiet activities.
Language, early literacy, numbers and small-group activities.
Painting, clay, crafts and other creative activities.
Optional extended care until 4 PM.
